Morphcoptor
Bachelors thesis on topology study and design of a rescue operations drone
Client: National Institute of Technology Rourkela
Year: 2020

Concept:
The drone's transformative capabilities, allowing it to alter configurations and navigate tight spaces, offer unparalleled access to previously unreachable locations. Enhanced with cameras and thermal imaging, this innovation expedites timely rescues and surveys, mitigating the risks of delayed intervention.

Development:
Our drone overcomes obstacles, reaches inaccessible areas, and performs precise inspections. Equipped with dynamic springs for endurance and shock absorbers for optimal performance. We designed and printed multiple prototypes to achieve the required agility-to-strength ratio. Generative design features were later implemented for weight optimization.
