Waste Management in Co-living.
Masters thesis on promoting sustainable waste sorting in Co-living spaces
Client: KTH Royal Institute of Technology
Year: 2023

Concept:
Our sorting bin solution meets specifications, promoting sustainability and community cohesion. Consisting of six stackable boxes with interior bags, it fosters sustainable habits and effective waste management in co-living spaces, adaptable through the ideation model.

Development:
The final concept prioritizes sustainability and user engagement. It features easy self-assembly with MDF board and eco-friendly non-woven PP bags. A user-friendly sliding frame simplifies bag handling, while color-coded bags and rubber padding encourage proper sorting. Visual cues address common mistakes, and a dedicated collection bin promotes recycling benefits. Frontal visual imagery and placards foster community and commitment among residents.
